Question about 1988 Chevrolet K1500
When the truck is placed in part it will not stay in. It will continue to move unless you sit with your foot on the brake for a good five minutes or so.
THERE IS A PIN THAT ENGAGES INSIDE THE TRANS TO LOCK THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK, IT IS CALLED A PARK PAWL, IT MUST BE BROKEN, PULL THE TRANS PAN OFF, IT CAN BE ACCESSED FROM THERE FOR REPLACEMENT.
