Can you provide the manufacturer name and number for the spark plugs used on the 1999 Mitsubishi Galant GDI 4G93 1.8L Engine? Also what is the correct Mistubishi Transmission fluid to be used on the Automatic Tiptronic 4-speed Transmission supplied with this engine? Thank you.

Dude....putting 2 stroke fuel into a 4 stroke engine is just silly, but not where your problem lies. Check the coils to see if it is generating spark...if not then check the ignition module....even 'oily' the plugs should fire.
firstly, is this a Gdi engine? if the engine revs ok when on park and neutral, but loses power when on a gear while driving, most likely your GDi pump is malfunctioning. i experienced this problem twice already and the pump was the problem on both occasions. the car works fine and malfunctions sometimes until the pump stops working and the car can hardly drive and then it stops starting altogether. the pump is fairly easy to replace.
They are right along the top of the engine going in behind the valve cover. They are deep down inside under the wire w/boot 2 of them have ignition coils on top of them (they are bolted down with 2 small bolts each) and have plugs plugged into them (1 each on outside edge) the other two are just beneith the rubber boots connected to the spark plug wire. Hope this helped you out. MWG
