Lay underneath the front of the vehicle or any way confortable (kinda low to the ground)...about a quarter of the way underneath you will see an aluminum box that has two lines coming out of the left and the right....the box itself looks like a radiator or evaporator coil....i think this is the transmission cooler....let me see if i can explain this right, if you put your hand on the suspected trans cooler and you are looking at it, the drain plug for the oil is right behind it going towards the front of the vehicle (if you are looking towards the back of the vehicle)....the wrench size is 13mm and if someone put the strong arm on it you may have a time getting leverage......if you strip it out, you can replace it from a local auto parts store, but you still have to get it off and that may require a repair shop....hope that helps!!!

Your Pacifica 2004 has a 3.5L engine 6 cylinder, you will need six spark plug's, the spark plug gap is .050", make sure you gap the spark plug's before you install them, hope this was very helpful.

Park on a hill or jack the car up and place jackstands under the vehicle in a recommended lifting area. Your drain plug is on the driver side of the engine. Drain oil then remove the oil filter located towards the front of the vehicle. Replace oil filter put the drain plug back on and refill oil 5.5 qts.

You can buy a new oversize oil plug at any parts store and you do not have to replace the oil pan. They were scared they would be stuck for fixing it thinking it was stripped by someone else. cost's $7.00

2004 chrysler pacifica water in floor board

the ventilation system of this vehicle has a drain. This may have been plugged from debris that lays in the cowl. I would suggest on your next oil change to have the mechanic clean the drain hose underneath the car.

It is for an oil change mainly and any other service your maintenance manual suggests at the mileage interval. It needs to be reset after each oil change to be accurate.

Replacing oill pain on 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

If you fequnt any quick lube places they use air tools to remove the drain plug and it often strips the threads in the oil pan. So in answer to your question, yes the oil pan needs to be replaced or else the iol leaks out at a pretty fast rate. I would suggest gettting this and future oil changes done at your local Chrysler dealer.
