1979 Pontiac Firebird Full Brake System Install

I'm rebuilding Firebird Formula with brand new brake system through out (booster, cylinder, lines etc) and am trying to find diagram for the brake lines around the front sub frame from the booster/cylinder to the splitter and on to the front discs. Any help would be great.

I have been working on power brakes and bleed system and got a good pedal pressure

try bleeding the brakes with the engine running there may still be some air in the system. make sure the master cylinder doesn`t run out of brake fluid.

I've had the same problem before, ended up being a bad master cylinder that I just purchased. Replaced it with a different brand and it worked fine.

Brakes are spongy and need to be pumped at times. Master cylinder resevoirs are full and there are no apparent leaks. Master cylinder?

you may need to strip out all the brake calibres if there sezed up this will give you a springy pedel or you may just have air in the lines

Replace brake booster , what parts to remove,

You will need to remove the fluid lines going to the booster, the vacuum line coming from the plenum also any electrical cables for the fluid level sensor etc. Then you remove the bolts securing the booster to the large round metal box its attached to. You can then either replace the booster or run a rebuild kit through the unit. A rebuild kit should be purchasable through your local parts shop.
