Hey Guys, I have a 95zx9r my running light or brake light won't come on in the rear. I can take a light tester and turn on the switch and press the brake and fire there.. but won't light the blub . I'm using 2 1157 blub in the rear....is there a special blub for this year or is there a relay I'm missing ......and to add all turn signal are working

You'll have to read through your owners manual. For some time Auto makers have been putting your taillights on the same fuse as your dash lights as an automatic indicator that they are out. I would read through your owners manual and decided where and what fuse will supply power to the taillights and dash lights. If indeed all fuses in connection with the dash lights are good I would suspect the automatic starter.

We had the same problem with ours, that is a Saturn recall items. Check with your Saturn dealer to see if it is still in effect. It use to make our headlight switch get hot. I think it was a poor ground in the taillight housing, I use to wiggle the bulb plug-ins and that helped for a while, but after the recall was fixed it never did it again.

I had the same problem with my 1999 Yukon. The electric board needed to be replaced. Rust starts to build up and shorts out or blows the bulb. The dealership charged $73.60 for the part and I installed it myself (Saved $30).

Sounds like the brake light switch has a problem. Located above brake pedal and activated with the brake pedal arm. Check for power going in and coming out when you apply the brake.

I dont have a diagram but the brake light switch has to feed the turn signal switch, Either that wire has a bad connection, or the turn signal switch is bad. Jiggle the turn signal lever and see if the brake lights try to work.
