Question about 1997 Dodge Stratus
I can be riding down the road and the car will hesitate and then cut off, but it will start back up. It sometimes cut off without warning.
I had this happen to my car several years ago. Turned out to be the power train computer module (I think that's what it was called) - some computer sensor that was related to emissions but not the O2 sensor. The federal government requires it so my dealer replaced it at no charge. Mine used to shut off after I hit speeds in excess of 45 mph and then I'd have to restart the car and drive slowly. After checking the battery and alternator, this fix was the last option - never had a problem since!

You may want to try a new Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor located at the front of the engine...and I mean the front towrds the grill. It has two small screws that hold it on and a small plug connector.
