Question about 1995 Honda Accord

2 Answers

I have a 1995 Honda Accord LX. The driver side wiper won't work. One guy says the bushings might be worn out and has disconnected from the main arm. I also thought maybe a faulty relay. Which is it and if so, which relay controls the wipers?

Contact a honda dealer If i am not mistaken, there was a recall on the wiper motors on the 94-95 accords. If the recall is for this year it should be replaced free of charge.

I have a 1992 honda accord LX. The starter still works, but it squeals when I turn the car over most of the time. Is it on it's way out, or is there something else I can check out?

Hi,
You may want to take you Accord to a parts house that does starter checks for Free.
Auto Zone, Napa, Advance Auto, ect.
They can do a Starter Amp Draw test.
This test will show if the squealing is due to dry and worn bushings in the starter, as dry and worn bushings will draw more amps, than good bushings, due to binding, thus squealing.
Dry and worn bushings will only get worse.

Hi There
It sounds as though the wiper internal wiper arm that attches to the motor has snapped under the skuttle panel, sometimes they just pop off there ball joint so it may not need replacing. The car in my profile picture did the exact same thing it was a first time for me aswell, it cracked my windsreen though so you must be a little luckier than me.

Hope this helps

Windshield wipers slam

check to make sure the nut on the wiper arms are tight. check to see if you have side to side play in wipers. if you do, you will need to have your wiper linkage checked. it may be worn.

How do i install a windshield wiper motor for a 95 honda accord lx

Well first you will need to take the main rod that moves the wiper blades , this you do by either removing a nut that is holding it on or the cotter pin or half moon key and then remove the bolts holding the motor to the car , but first do not forget to unplug the unit and then just reverse the prosses.

Wiper arm goes off of the windshield when it is raining

Sounds like you just nee to remove them and reinstall them in the correct position. Take them off, run the wipers for one cycle until they park. Install the arms so the blade is about an inch above the bottom of the windshield.

There are bushings on the shifter rods where the transaxle and the shifter rods connect and they are worn out. Replacing these will solve that problem. I had one do the exact same thing a few years ago and drove me nuts. This is most likely the problem. Either that or the transmission mount is severely worn out. Check that as well because they can imitate one another.
