Question about 2006 Dodge Charger

1 Answer

Temperature control I just bought a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T and the windows started fogging up and wouldn't clear up. I called the dealer and they said to bring the car in so i did and they adjusted the temperature controls. They turned on the a/c and it cleared up the windows. I'm not sure if this is normal to leave the air conditioner on during winter.

You have to use the a/c to remove the moisture from the air. It is normal plus it keeps the compressor seals lubricated during the cold months.

Turn off heater blows hot air

the windows are fogging up from the water vapour inside the car hitting the glass and freezing. All the heater is doing is making the water vapour evaporate into smaller particles and freezing quicker. The way to overcome this is to dehumidify the air in the car (take the water vapour out). To do this use the AC as this is what it is designed to do . run the heater at the same time and the glass will clear and stay clear. In most cars this is called climate controlled air conditioning.

I smell antifreeze when the heat is on. The inside of the windshield is fogging up and will not clear and I am starting to get smoke coming through the vent. I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent

usually this means a faulty heater core. mechanic labor guide calls for 5.2 hours plus an ac recharge. the dealer list price for the part is $190.10 plus anti-freeze.

Looking for fuse for fog lights on a 2008 dodge charger. we installed a fog light kit. the car is pre-wired for them. we replaced the head light switch with the one from the kit. fog lights arent...

Check your instructions with the fog lamps, I believe you will need to take your car to a dealer to have them activate the fog lamp driver in the Totally Integrated Power Module.

How do i install driver side fog lights

I bought the factory kit from Ebay. It came with clear instructions including the new headlight switch assembly that includes the fog light switch. I think it was under $150. Once installed, you have to see the dealer so they can program the computer to run the new lights.
