Most automatics have a shifter release button close to the shifter (it may be covered with a small tab.) Insert a small flat-head screwdriver and ensure you are pushing the button. Then you should be able to freely shift the car from park.
The safest thing to do would be to call your local tow company and have it towed those few blocks. But if you want to take a chance on pushing it those two blocks, just open the hood and take off the linkage. It's in park to down one position = reverse, one more = neutral. But now you have another problem. How do you steer this puppy as you push it down the street? Even though the transmission is not in neutral and it will roll, without the key the steering is locked, remember?
