Question about 1997 BMW 318
I am having a problem wen i leave my car for a few hours i go to start it it turns over slow and miss fires for a while then runs smooth ive had the battery checked and it is ok i have checked all the earths to my knowlage please help
Hi! I can only give a suggestion as to slow starting, The starter motor windings have probably been cooked? so when cold seem o.k. but at operating temp expand and the armature receives less power. Have you recently tried starting from cold with a poor battery? if so this is the reason, volts go down Amps go up stewing the windings in the starter motor. Misfire could be due to condensation? is the vehicle Garaged?
Hope this helps!
