Question about 1999 Chevrolet Astro
I just bought a 2003 Astro van with 110k miles and I have two problems
1) When I shift to drive the passenger and the sliding door lock but not the driver door and when i shift to parking the passenger and sliding door unlock but not the driver door side and neither one of the power switches work. Any idea???
2) When I turn the ac or heater on no matter in which position I set it to the air comes out to the floor and windshield.
Any respond will be GREATLY appreciated. It’s my first van.
There is a vacuum line that goes from the vacuum reservoir (usually next to the bottom of the passenger side engine) up and across the top of the engine to connect on the driver side of the engine. The vaccum line cracks/leeaks and will not allow the vent vacuum actuators to function. Replace the line. Use a thicker wall buts same inside diameter rubber vaccuum hose. Probably under $5. People waste a bunch of time replacing the actuators, switches, etc. Its just the vacuum line and poor original placement/design.
