Question about 2003 Toyota Corolla

Engine troubles ok i have a 03 corolla with 140k miles when im driving it sometimes it seems like if it miss fires a studder or i checked all spark plugs but they all had the white stuff meaning they fire and two of the holes where the spark plugs go are brownish

Fuel injector cleaner could help... maybe check the order of the plug wires, if that doesnt help i know autozone has a free computer diagnostics your car is new enough for that and it would probably be the best way of figuring this out

It could Be a wire id use a multi meter to check the ohms of your wires. It could be a sensor or the ignition control box. im not sure its hard to say without looking at it.

My 03 AV seems to studder when doing over 50 mph or on slight incline... coil pack possibly I have 90k the plugs are supposed to be good till 120k.

No spark plug is good over 60,000 miles

You most likely, do have at least one bad
COP Ignition coil

Also,check EGR Valve,if issue is under a vacuum
load,going up hill

One of the engine cylinders is mis firing (did a code check). the check engine light initially flashes when first driving, then remains on -does not flash any longer) would that damage the catalytic...

it is very important to keep the engine tuned up, and yes an engine miss fire could damage the catalytic converter. the 1990 does not have a code for a miss fire it is probley just a bad spark plug or spark plug wire, and remember when it comes to spark plug wires you get what you pay for.....have fun

more than likely u have a spark plug wire breaking down under load sometimes u can pop the hood in the dark and see sparks were the fire is jumping

Engine cuts out when driving

i would check the fuel filter, if thats good, it may be a grounding problem, my corolla was doing the same thing, making me so mad! LOL turns out the battery was just bouncing up and shorting out on the hood! any way good luck and hope this helps
