98 Jetta GL- alarm goes off when I unlock the door

When I unlock the door, it only unlocks the driver's side but other locks do not unlock.  Alarm light is still so when I open the door, the alarm goes off.  I can't shut the alarm off like I usually do, which is by turning the key up twice on the driver's side.  Put in a new battery and its still doing the same thing.  Any suggestions?

Alarm won't turn off

the valet key doesnt have a transponder chip in it, so it will allow physical turning of keyways and operations, but will not disable the alarm and often wont disable the immobilizer.

sorry to say i think you will need to get an autolocksmith , or main dealer to get you a functioning key with transponder chip mapped to your cars rfid system that will allow alarm to be enabled /disabled

Alarm set

this is a factory alarm, the problem is the alarm is active, you will need to use the door locks to turn alarm off, insert key in driversdoor and lock and then unlock door this will turn alarm off, if that doesnt work then use pass/side door, the lock has a built in switch that knows when the door is locked or opened, the driversdoor may have a bad switch so inturn the computer thinks the door was forced opened without key and it is turning alarm on, so again use the key to unlock door try the pass/side if driversdoor doesnt work. good day

Whenever i unlock my camry manualy ( key in the door ) the alarm goes off. Also if i open the back door before the front door the alarm goes off. I have to use the remote key or i cant get into my car and...

this is due to a bad switch in the drivers door, when you use the key to unlock the door it should shut down alarm, also the alarm module may be going bad, the alarm is setting itself on, when ever you lock the door the alarm turns on, you will need to replace the switch on the drivers door or unlock the passenger side door that also has a switch that disarms it, the switch is on the lock itself, thats the problem you are having , good day,

At one point the door was lock from the in side and then closed and then unlocked with alarm, try un-locking it from the drivers door, then from the in side push the un-lock button and then close the drivers door. U should have no problems with it, but they do say that putting the key in the ignition and then do what you would like starting it but don't and do it 2 times and then start it will tell the alarm that it is not stolen.

Do u know that key less entry code to your drivers door?
Let me know if you would like your code that is if you don't know where to look.

When my alarm goes off, it usually happens when someone sticks their hand in the window to unlock the door. In order to turn off the alarm I close whichever door the person opened back, and unlock the door from the driver's side door. This usually turns the alarm off.
