I have a 93 Eagle Vision ESI 3.3 V6. While the car is running, the cruse light on the dash will come on and the car stalls. while the light is on the engine will turn over but not start. When the cruse light goes off the car will start. This only happens in cold weather. I have gone as far as pulling the fuse for the curse control and this has no effect. Rain is not an issue either, just the cold. Most times I can turn the key off, wait a few seconds and the car will start and run fine, lately thats not the case, the cruse light is almost always on now. Any ideas?
The on board computer does not show the error code using the MIL (check engine light ) In my case the fault is in the crankshaft sensor. Had to get the car to a shop to read the OBD1 port to find the error. Replaced the sensor and everything is good. Found out a fault in the cam sensor will cause the same strange issue with the cruise light.

you might not have an assembly line communication link [aldl] port if you want to read a code from your check engine light --turn key on [not start]--than off do this 3 times and on 3 rd time light will blink the code [say its 12 it will blink once than short pause than blink 2 more times ] you can retrieve the codes meaning online search obd l codes
Find the EGR valve. Look up on the internet what it looks like and where it is located for your car. There will be a vacuum hose attached to it. start the car when the engine is cold. when it gets to running temperature and starts to stall, pull the vacuum line off. If the EGR is bad, the car will keep running and idle will return to normal.
Sounds like a vacuum problem, This is a fairly common problem right after servicing your car. Sometimes mechanics forget to re-plug your vacuum tube on your engine and you get the stalling unless you give it more gas. Just take it back to your mechanic. It's a real simple solution. He looks under the hood. He sees a loose tube. He plugs it in and off you go.
