I'm thinking lubricant in housing too thick in cold weather obviously, but I'd be tempted to call a dealer service manager, or parts guy & ask if they have any recommendations regarding the lubricant for these in colder weather. Don't cost anything to ask. Perhaps Lucas oil or similar has a product that will help. Don't know for sure if there is a synthetic lube approved for that use either, but if you can't find out locally, let me know and I'll do some more research for you if I can .

2004 Ford F-150 extended cab FX4. 4WD problem

Your front hubs are automatic locking hubs, and the gears are hard nylon. These hubs break very easily, therefore causing you to lose your front wheel drive in 4 high, or 4 low. If you replace the hubs with "WARN (name brand) " manual locking hubs, you will never have the issue again. Of course, you will have to get out of the truck and manually lock the hubs, but they are metal gears, and much more durable. I've personally seen the issue several times, and changing the hubs has resolved the issue every time.

Getting turbo off a 2001 dodge ram 2500 series to replace it

The tuff part is getting to the nuts that clamp the exhaust housing to the exhaust manifold. You may need to modify (heat up and bend) some wrenches to get them all off. Be sure to prime the new turbo before running it.
