Won't even "click" nor " crank" when trying to start .

My 95' toyota camry wont start, i dont hear any click or crank from starter when i'm trying to start it. My battery is new, both cables are tight and secured. checked all fuses, good . Everything are lit up on the front panel. What do you think the problem is?

I have the exact same issue in a 2002 Camry. I cut it off to get gas and it didn't start back up. Called my wife to give me a jump and that didn't work either (dash lights came on, but no crank or click). I waited about 30min. and the motor cranked slowly (weak battery). Once it started it drove normally. I purchased a replacement battery and am still having the same problem. I believe the alternator is fine, but will pick up a volt meter to verify the voltage from the alternator. If the voltage is fine, I will take out the starter and have it tested.

Agree, it sounds like the starter and it happens often on old Camry. When was the last time you had the starter replaced? The cartalk guys once suggested getting a mallet and bang on the starter and it will work. Eventually you will need a replacement. It is way cheaper to go to junkyard and get a used one (ask them to test before buy).

Sounds like the starter is bad. it can be tested by a mehcanic or( most autoparts stores,) but you'll need to take it out yourself for them to do it.

Toyota Camry wont start 1994 doesnt click over

This could be -

- dying battery. The most common cause. You might hear a click from the starter solenoid, or not, but no cranking.

- worn starter solenoid contacts. Here the battery is good, but no cranking.

- bad ground from the battery to the engine. Clean the terminals at both ends of this cable.

- defective starter or solenoid. Replace rather than repair, it is just as cheap.

95 start wont

Does the engine crank? Kinda confussed why the starter was tested and the distributor replaced. Take it that you have the 2.2 engine in it?

Got a jump with key turned now wont start

If it cranks but won't start, you'll have to figureout if it is a fuel or ignition problem.Have you checked the computer for trouble codes ?

My 2002 Toyota Camry won't start, I tried jump starting it, but the starter won't even turn over or crank.

well in this case it can be the starter. you need to check if you get power to the skinny wire on the starter wile you crank. if yes then it is the starter. in worst case if you drove the car with out oil or if it got over heat too much. engine could be locked.

2003 toyota camry won't start. Had battery tested, and still good. has power but won't even crank.

Could be the starter motor, bad battery connection, starter motor solenoid, faulty ignition switch, siezed up engine.
Turn the head lights on and try to crank the engine, if you hear a click and the lights dim, it is a bad battery or a loose battery lead. If you hear a click and lights don't dim, bad starter. If you don't hear a click, it is the starter solenoid. If nothing at all, bad ignition switch.

95 TOYOTA CAMRY WONT CRANK

If it cranks immediately and then dies .your distributor may need to be replaced. If you have to whirl it over several times before it starts the timing is off

Car wont start

It COULD be a crank-shaft sensor. It wouldn't hurt to have that checked. I had that problem in two previous vehicles and it was doing the exact same thing.
