Question about 1995 Chevrolet Blazer
I have 95 Chevy blazer 4x4. It had bad transmission. I bought transmission from 93 Chevy Blazer. It is identical, but it doesn't have safety switch on it.
My question: Is it possible to put this transmission in the car. I understand that it will not have safety switch, but at least will car run and drive?
In 1995 GM started messing with the TCC control circuit. In ways on when it applies and when it disengages. pull the pan and check the TCC solenoid it should have PWM TCC solenoid in 1995. Im not sure if the 93 trans will jive with your tcm on a 1995. If the 93 trans doesnt have a pulse width modulated torque convertor clutch solenoid the tcm will have trouble telling it to lock up pretty much it wont.

Gear ratio allows you to choose from a wide range of vehicle speed, the lower the gear ratio, the more power for your vehicle to climb but will compromise your speed while high final ratio gives you more speed, but compromises your ability to climb.
I suggest you look for the same gear ratio so as not to complicate things,
On Do it your self test would be to count the number of turns on the input shaft of your transmission as against the output shaft by manually rotating the shaft by hand and place a mark where you started and count the number of turns made by the output shaft by rotating one full turn the input shaft, this on drive positon.
DO it on both transmission to compare.

Yes it will run, if it is identical as you told us, and you will have no problem with the safety switch, your only concern now should be the gear ratio of the 93 chevy Blazer.
