Have a specialist check the fuel injectors as this sounds liki they are leaking into the cylinders and it's finding its way through the rings into the sump.Note whats coming out the exhaust when you start her in the mornings.

I have a 2001 Durmax diesel 2500hd and diesel is getting in the oil any suggestion why.

the only way that diesel can get into sump oil is through a failed seal in the pump on the drive shaft
No easy fix so a trip to an accredited diesel service centre will be in order.

2008 dodge ram 4.7 ticks at start up. i heard if i put a half quart of ATF in it that i will clean it out and it will stop. true of false

false-- Remember that you require a certain viscosity oil in the sump and any oil that thins out the sump oil will cause damage to the bearings. Check that the oil filter in use has a non drain back valve in it to retain oil in the hydraulic tappets on shut down. The best oil to clean out an engine is diesel oil as used in diesels. The viscosity is right and the extra detergents in the oil will remove all sludge in the engine. The problem is because it is doing the job then the filter has to changed every 5000miles or sooner depending on the condition in the engine. As a point of interest diesel oil can be used in a petrol engine all the time.

Where is the oil sump plug on a peugeot 407 hdi?

under the engine, it scares me that you want to know this if you cant find the sump plug. You realise this engine needs a low ash diesel specific oil when you do an oil change right?

Oil is spitting out from the intake on my 2008 f-350 6.4 diesel

all diesels have a blow by problem because of the high compression and combustion pressures that pushes gasses into the sump of the engine past the ring gaps . have a compression test done to determine the condition of the rings and bores of the engine . Next check the pcv valve is not restricting the flow and building up pressure in the sump and there by blowing oil in the rocker cover out into the intake.. Check the viscosity of the oil you use and ensure that it is correct for your area of operation.

Kubota M 5030 2.8 6 cyl. Diesel in oil sump. Why?

Diesel gets in the sump from an seal leaking in the fuel pump through to the drive gear and out into the sump. If it has an inline pump( one where the injector lines are in a row at the top of the pump) the fuel will be leaking past the plunger elements and into the pump sump which then drains back tot he engine sump. IF it is slight but consistent sometimes injectors will dribble when shut down and the fuel will by pass the piston rings into the sump. Talk with a diesel pump and injector repair specialist for any faults particular to the Kubota fuel system

Oil light comes on at idle

I usually ask people with this problem how long they plan to keep the car. If it doesn't get worse, you can keep driving like this. If you want to keep the car a long time, then read on.

It could be the sensor or the pump or a clogged strainer. Of these, the sensor is by far the cheapest repair. Put a new sensor in and see if that fixes it. If not, now you have to take the oil pan off to make sure the strainer isn't clogged. If it is, clean and reinstall the oil pan. If it isn't replace the oil pump and then reinstall the oil pan. If you have more questions or need instructions, please let us know.

Mazda 6 2o diesel replaced turbo new unit same

There is a oil drain return from the turbo charger to the sump. If the sump oil level covers the outlet into the sump, oil will build excess pressure tin the turbo causing the sealing rings to leak oil in to the intake manifold. This would cause smokey exhaust and loss of oil. Try this. Drain the sump completely, refill with the exact quantity of oil to Mazda spec. Dip the oil and if the new oil level is lower than the full mark on the dipstick, you have found the cause of the problem. Mark this new level with a scriber or file and fill only to this new level. Hope this is the solution.
