I also have this problem - tracking is not an issue, it can be injectors/fuel filter/maf or a number o other things. Try the solutions in the Haynes manual. I'm working through them now

1989,
100k sounds like the very old , smog timer , in fact a real clock
so when it makes noise, unplug it. end story.
id need country car was sold to, to be accurate,
is this a speed limit, 100 KPH? 100 kilometer per hour?
if yes, it might have a unified alarm module.
the FSm covers this well, get one see the schematics.
if unified, killing one alarm , kills all. pulled, i dont know how you'd like that.
on some cars the alarm is deep in the cluster ,very hard to get if at all.

buy the factory service manual, scan and post this page.
alarm module.

Oil warning light on saying oil pressure pump STOP engine Oassat diesel 2.00litre First Reg Nov 2005 mileage 56,5000 approx. On standard servicing schedule not long life

STOP the engine immediately !!! There is an oil pump failure of 2.0 TDI engines !
Remove the oil pan and the oil pump & balancer shafts assembly.

tdisline_448.jpg
Either the shaft driving the pump from the balance shaft rounds off or the balance shaft drive gears eat themselves.
The same issue ... low oil pressure warning light, noisy rattling engine, and the turbo has gone. Diagnosis: oil pump balancer shaft assembly ...

Many Passat show excess chain noise and wear anywhere from 50,000-100,000+ miles. Cars have broken the chains/tensioner as low as 65,000 miles. This is just a range of cars that have been reported, diagnosed, and repaired. The actual statistics on dealer repairs or failures is unknown and I've heard cars over 100,000 miles that, in my opinion as a non mechanic (most mechanics wouldn't recognize this sound and problem either), aren't noisy. From what has been reported, noticeable noise/chain-tensioner wear/greater risk of breaking is around 60,000-150,000 miles. Your case may vary. The most obvious symptom is a rattling loose noise from the oil pan. Unless you listen to a Passat TDI with a tight chain and one with a loose chain, it's hard to describe the difference other than rattling chain noise.
The reason the gear drive oil pump modification was started is because a few mechanics who specialize in TDI have seen many worn oil pump chains/sprockets/tensioners. There will always be a few defective parts that come off the assembly line and all mechanical components like chains wear out sooner or later, but in my opinion, the failure rate is abnormal considering the number of Passat TDI sold versus the number of reported oil pump failures. This does not necessarily mean that every or even most Passat TDI will have this problem, just that the reported failure rate is high enough to consider this part a design failure. Nobody, not even VW-Audi knows the average time between failure for these parts and the percentage of cars that will have this problem, but they changed this design and if you want to not have this specific failure, the only sure way is to swap to the geared module.

Passat 2006 2.0 tdi 140 engine won't start dash warning says either "engine fault, garage" or "low oil pressure".

Exhaust pressure sensor a possibility if it has a DPF (diesel particulate filter). Has it had its fuel pump recall, the oil pressure light could be just the constant cranking and running the battery low.

My 2001 kia rio 1.3l consumes so much gas at about 9 kilometers per liter. I believe they can go upto 14-15 kph per liter. What should i do to minimize gas consumption?

You can over-inflate your tires by about 8%, use a K&N air filter, drive 15 kph slower on the highway, accelerate slowly and never accelerate uphill, draft behind larger vehicles, regular maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, wires, filters), use a fuel system cleaner every oil change. These can increase your fuel economy drastically, but if you are still noticing poor fuel economy you should have the car checked by a mechanic for what might be causing the high fuel consumption.

i hope this helps

Feulfilter passat 2001 tdi 130pk changing frequentie ? please

Hi

The normal interval on your engine for changing the diesel fuel filter is every 60,000 miles.

This is provided you are not using biodiesel and are using diesel conforming DIN EN590 (low sulpher) in your country.

If you are using fuel that does not conform to these standards the interval changes to 20,000 miles.

Hope this helps. Please do rate my answer. Thanks.

Vibration in the front end over 100 kph

Most likely your tires. Tires are usually the issue with speed related vibration issues. How old and how many miles/kilometers do you have on your tires and what make and model are they? Check for flat spots and bulges, even when properly balanced unevenly worn tires can give you bad shaking. If you have other noises or more severe indications at slower speeds.
