Remove wheels. Remove fender liners front. Remove three nuts per side from inside fender wells. Remove fog lamp grilles. Remove vertical bolt just inside grilles--pointing up. Remove two screws per side under hood near front of fender. Put milk crate under front bumper. Remove belly pan first. Slide bumper forward onto milk crate, disconnect headlight washer line at quick disconnect if so equipped. Disconnect fog light connectors. Remove bumper.
Remove bolts behind lamp assemblies holding fender to frame of car.
Remove bolts along seam hidden under hood.
remove left front wheel and splash guard.
remove more bolts in wheel well
open left door, remove bolts in sill by door hinges.
Take lots of wires and stuff loose from fender.
Tada, fender is removed.
remove fender you have to raise vechicle remove wheel. remove splash shield remove bolts holding fender through wheel opening.then you have open hood remove headlight housing remove fender bolts behind head light housing.
take the grill out, all the bolts behind the grill. take all the bolts out under the hood, note, the hood hinge is bolted to the fender,. Open the door and take the bolt out there. below the fender, behind the wheel, there is a bolt. take the screws out of the liner and it will come off. it takes about an hour and a half if the bolts are rusted.
TOOLS: Screw Driver, Plastic Cup to place your bolts.
STEPS: 1. Buy a new latch for $20 max. or $5 from your local junkyard 2. Open your hood. Take out your grille. Front bumper. Driver side fender and plastic fender cover. 3. Take the plastic panel covering the hood release latch. (should have 1 plastic screw, just pop that with a flat-head screw driver) 4. Remove bracket (2x -10mm bolts) 5. Remove the entire broken hood release with your new one. 6. Place everything back 7. Enjoy!
1.- remove the hhod and hood hinge
2.- loosen the wheel lug nuts , raise the vehicle and securely support on jackstands, apply parking brake .remove the fron wheel.
3.-Disconet the antenna( fender only)
4.- Remove fender mounting bolts at fron close to the turn signal.
5.-remove the top view bolts at the engine comparment.
6.-Detach the fender is a good idea to have an assistant to prevent damage to the parts of the body
7.- Installation is the reverse of removal.
U NEED TO TAKE YOUR FINDERWELL OUT FRIST ON THAT SIDE THIN OPEN HOOD THE BOLTS R RIGHT AT THE TOP WERE YOUR HOOD FITS THE FINDER SHOULD BEE ABOUT SIX OR SO NOTE THE FINDER WELL IS THE UNDER NEATH PART OF YOUR FENDER U MAY WONNA REMOVE YOUR PARKING LIGHT FOR THAT SIDE JUST TO MAKE SURE U DONT BRAKE IT AND JUST BELOW THE MARKER LIGHT SHOULD BEE A FENDER BRACE REMOVE IT ALSO ITS LIKE A SHORT METTEL BAR ALL BOLTS SHOULD BEE 1/2 INCH GOOD LUCK AND RATE THIS PLEASE
