Check to make sure you did not knock off any vacuum lines and also make sure the transmission fluid is not low and if it smells cooked replace the fluid and the filter because the screen in the filter could be plugged and it is not getting fluid to the torque converter but check the fluid first

09 BMW X5 4.8 ran low on oil left bank Exhaust Cam sproket was loose Did leak down test Cylinders ok Put motor together Now wont run on left Bank used timing tools for cams but no compression

A physical valve timing check might prove useful - checking the valves are opening and closing at the correct number of degrees in relation to the pistons.

A common problem when rebuilding a motor is failing to empty the hydraulic tappets with the consequence the valves can be held open by them for a considerable time. A similar problem, though quite rare is tappet jacking where excess oil pressure lifts the valves from the seats as soon as the engine starts to rotate.

Try a cylinder leakage test...

I ran out of oil and my motor didnt burn up it.what do i do?

Why did it run out of oil and how much did you have to put in to fill it up ? If you had to put in 3 quarts or more and don't have any sudden leaks your best bet would be to go to a scrap yard and get a new engine.

disconnect the battery cable for about an hour to restart the engine computer. It will then need to relearn your car's operating paramters again. Once the strategy is relearned, it should be ok.

Oil leaking from crack in houseing attached to back end of gearbo

If you can see the crack plainly, you will need to have a transmission shop fix it for you or your isuzu dealer, good luck.
but it may have just the rear seal on the transmission started leaking, and where the castings come together, looks like a crack, and just replace the seal.
good luck;)

i am not a transmission expert but i would ck the kickdown cable on throttlebody. if disconnected or out of adjustment, it can do internal trans damage. seen it happen on several lincoln town cars around that year. if you suspect something wrong there, call a local tranny shop for quick advice, i'm sure he will know what youre talking about

Transmission problems

they should have suggested changing tranny screen and filter if tranny isnt maintained every 20,000to 30,000 you end up with gray like particles from normal wear wich get caught in the screen and valve body wich leads to erractic shifting valve body problems eventually tranny replacement number 1 rule oil changes on motor and screen and filter on tranny prevents premature wear longer life to two major key factors
