Question about 2004 Kia Sedona

Bad Battery in 2004 just purchased five days ago

The battery has been changed and it looks like a Wal Mart battery, but is apparently not the original. Do I need to buy a particular brand battery for the 2004 Kia Sedona"?

No. you can purchase any brand battery as long as it made for your vehicle. it just depends on how much you want to spend and the quality and dependability your looking for. your local auto parts store will help you the most as well as install it for you at no extra cost

Wont start

If original battery (2003), the battery was on borrowed time. It gave you a two week warning grace period to replace it, so don't lament. If it's the second battery, which is most probable, it still owes you nothing. They only last five years tops if you're lucky.
Wal-Mart as best deals on batteries and they'll do it free while you do your grocery shopping at one of their super centers. Also their batteries are top rated by CR.

2001 Mitsubishi Outlander won't start sometimes but will start others

You are smart to start with the simple stuff first. Check the battery connection. If it is corroded, clean it and/or replace the battery clamps that connect the big wires to the battery terminal posts. Wal Mart has (in the past) checked out the battery and charging system for no charge. It may just be a dead battery, bad alternator, or loose serpentine belt.

What kind of battery does a 2004 dodge durango key need?

It's a standard watch battery. Go to Wal-Mart and they'll let you borrow their watch screwdriver and they'll sell you the correct battery then as well.

2004 Taurus. Will not start at intermittent

I have the same car but don't have that problem with this one however, I did with the 99 I traded for this one. I figured out that if the wheels were not left straight, any degree of angle facing either direction, would freeze something in the steering column and not allow it to start. Had it towed twice before the tech said he had the same problem in the past. Never happened after that. The prob I had with the 2004 Taurus, bought a cheap battery from wal-mart and it ran everything but my car, tech said it's probably the reason the alternator had failed. Check your brand of battery. My battery light stayed on for two months, started fine, switched the battery from the wal-mart one, light went off instantly.

Odometer and Techometer do not work after battery was jumped.

On our 2007 Subaru Forester, I followed the above tips but with one small difference. Instead of disconnecting the battery and waiting hours for the ECM to reset, I found on another page that the ECM can be instantly reset by disconnecting the negative battery cable and pressing the brake pedal for a couple of seconds. Worked immediately!

take battery back get a new one or have it tested. like auto zone or a parts store even wal-mart now. If this battery was just dead and needed charged. Then sounds like to me you have a bad alternater. you can rely know if you can get the battery charged up and get the car to start. and while the car is running pull the positive connection of the battery if car dies bad alternater .
