Could be several things, when was the last tune up? A coil may need replacing on one of the plugs and the catalytic converter could have some blockage and creating backpressure on the engine. Also fuel injectors may need cleaning by adding it to the fuel or a bad injector.

- Ignition system not operating properly.
- Dirtyor clogged fuel injector(s) (Chapter4).
- Low fuel pressure. Check for proper operation of the fuel pump and for restrictions in the fuel filter and lines .
