Track lock is a safety feature that helps when wheels slip (icy or muddy coditions) it slows the wheels to help regain traction. this is not always useful so they let you have the option of turning it off if needed. you will feel a slight vibration and see a warning light on your instrument panel when the system is activated

2006 jeep commander abs trac.control esp lights are on seems like abs is locking up 0ff and 0n

there is a small switch under brake bedal. when it is broken, you get a warning on your dash light and ABS and related equipment go into safe mode. you need a new one. other reason to this can be a broken sensor on one of brake calipers. those must be checked.

2003 ford explorer sport trac blower motor and switch not getting any power, it was working fine a while ago and i had to start flipping the switch to head then off then back to head, what is wrong?

The selector switch on the dash controls the blower motor relay, then the fan switch controls the speed. The fan switch gets power from a 40amp fuse and the control panel gets power from two other fuses.
If you are working the control switch to get the fan to work, the control switch may be failing.

The vsc trac and vsc off, plus the check engine just came up on the dash board. What do I do to make them disappear? Its a toyoto 4runner 2004.

For some reason on Toyota and some Lexus vehicles certain check engine light CEL issues also result in the ECU lighting up the vsc trac and vsc off lights. The ECU actually switches these anti skid and anti lock brake systems off and the lights are to remind you that they are disabled. 1) Check that the fuel cap is on securely 2) Check the oxygen sensors on the exhaust, check that connections are clean and there are no missing wires. 3) Have someone check the on-board diagnostic codes if the CEL is still on

I heard a loud pop or something then my dash said trac off and my engine light came on. Now my car is shaking really bad with a loud noise and a faint smell of gas.

On applications with traction control, there is a switch to deactivate the system, which is normally enabled any time the ignition is turned on. TRAC ON and TRAC OFF lamps inform the driver of system status. The controller may deactivate the traction control system temporarily after it has been engaged for a certain period of time to prevent heat buildup in the brake linings and possible brake fade. ABS braking is not affected by the status of the traction control function. In your case it is the Anti Lock Brake system. You have to take it to a shop and have the antilock brake system checked with some special tools.

Trac off light comes on a 2003 pontiac grand am

This is the TCS or Traction Control System. It helps keep the vehicle from being able to get stuck by forcing the torque to either tire. Usually there is a switch either on the dash or on the shifter that says TCS or TRAC press the switch and it should go off.

2002 grand am trac light came on, on the dash board

Do you have the trac button pushed on the dash? that would turn it on. if that does not turn it off you probably should get it checked out.

Trac on/off

THERE IS A SWITCH ON THE DASH LOCATED ABOVE THE RADIO LABELED ( ETS) THAT IS THE CONTROL SWITCH FOR THE ELECTRONIC TRACTION CONTROL. IF THE SWITCH IS ON AND FRONT TIRES LOSE TRACTION IT WILL NOT LET THE ENGINE GO OVER A CERTAIN RPM. IF THE SWITCH IS OFF THE ENGINE CAN RED LINE ON RPMS. THE SWITCH BASICALY ACTS AS A GOVENOR WHEN IT IS TURNED ON.
