Question about 2004 Ford F350

1 Answer

The brake lights on my 2004 F-350 crew cab diesel do not work.

All fuses and lights are good. With the right blinker on the left brake light will work . If the left blinker is on the right brake light will not work. I just rechecked it and the brake lights all work again. Any ideas ?

It was probably just a bad connection, try using a dielectric grease to maximize current flow

Well you missed something .Let me ask you this what wasn't working before you replaced the multifunction switch.
The brake lights if the blinkers the running lights the head lights int lights all work must be the contact point or switch at the brake padal or a ground issue to the bulbs or the bulbs are incorrect Ford has this issue with the bulbs they look the same but there not check that for the brake lights .
I have had the same problem the lights work they done work correctly and its hard to tell .Make sure they are the correct bulbs

Rear parking lights dont work 2001 GMC sierra

It would then be a bad ground. Start at the bulb fixtures cleaning and refastening; look for cracked broken wires as you go. A little multimeter will help.

Ford f-150 brake light and blinker problems (from towing)

Check the fuse box located in the cab down by the drivers left knee. check all the fuses there, also consult your manual and check the fuse for the brake/tail lights. This sounds like a fuse problem more than anything. Thanks for using fixya! Good luck!

Sincerely,

JC
