The cigarette lighter plug on the front of the console does not work. The outlet for the back seat on the back side of the console works. I am guessing I need to just replace the main outlet with a new one.
Aux power problem. None of the outlets in my 2002 suburban work. Both the cigar and aux fuses were blown. Replaced both and they immediately blew again (both). Where do the two circuits meet and what is the culprit?

Is this from the cigarette lighter or the aux power outlet?
There are 2 fuse panels in the '99 Durango. The one containing the Cigar Lighter fuse is on the drivers side of the dash with the door open. 15 amp (blue) fuse, 4th from the front on the bottom row.
Aux power outlet fuse is located in the fuse panel on the inside the cab but on the back side of the panel.
some cig lighter outlets have a U shaped + center pin. Sometime yer plug's - will engage it. ooops . Look for the two sides of the U and mark the edge of the outlet with red nail polish. Then when inserting the plug with a side pin, orient it away from the paint. Keep more fuses in the glove box
There are actually FIVE cigarette lighter/ Auxilliary Power Outlets shown in the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. The Instrument Panel Accessory Power Outlet (Cigarette Lighter) is protected by the "LTR" Fuse (# 53 - 20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment.
The Instrument Panel Accessory Power Outlet is protected by the "AUX PWR" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash.
The Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet and the (two) Center Console Power Outlets are protected by the "AUX PWR 2" Fuse (20 Amp) In the Instrument Panel Fuse Block on the left side of the dash. NOTE: If your vehicle is not equipped with the Center Seat Accessory Power Outlet, or the Custom Floor Console (optional), this fuse position will most likely be empty.
Hi, that fuse is in the box under the hood. See pic below. I think it's fuse 32. Fuse 45 also powers those outlets but also power a lot of other circuits. The fuse for the outlet in the very back of the car is on the interior fuse panel, #14. All of this information is in your owners manual. You can download the manual here: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/buick/2002-Buick-Rendezvous.pdf
Check ALL the fuses. pull them out an dlook. Also repace the one that is power for the dash/rradio/etc... even if it looks good.
If that doe snot fix it then pull the lighter out and test the wire going to it for power. If it has power then you might have a bad plug/ground. Replace outlet if so.
The two outlets are on two different fuses. The one in the front of the console I believe is labeled C/LTR and the fuse for the other is labeled AUX PWR. They are both located in the fuse/junction block in the right side door opening.
I would check them both as I may have stated the labels wrong.
