Question about 2003 Mini Cooper

Mini cooper 2003 only giving me 220miles on a full tank

Im told i should be getting at least 360 - 400 miles on a full tank of fuel however this is the complete oposite. im getting half that. can u help in any way or tell me what i can do to improve this

Code p2069


code p2069 refers to fuel gauge tank sensor---B---circuit intermittent causes wiring---poor connections--- fuel gauge tank sensor,. I would go for the sensor. Replace with genuine unit as aftermarket units are not always compatable with the settings in the CPU.

Check the spark plug first, if it is fouled, wet, carbon or fuel deposited all up, Don't just change it, Do a complete tune up and change them all, also add Seafoam to the tank to clean the entire fuel system, that should take care of any injector problems that might be causing your problem,,, and use a high grade fuel from now on

How often does a mini need a fuel injector service


you should run some sea foam injector cleaner in it about every 20,000 miles its really good stuff cleans ur injectors and keeps water out of tank. You can purchase Sea Foam at walmart about 4.99 at autozone its 10.00

Mini cooper rear calipers pistons must be rotated as they are compressed. As you look at the face of the piston, it is rotated clockwise.

u will fine to use 5/20 weight mobile 1 synthetic oil in ur vehicle...i used this all the time in mine b4 i sold it..never had a problem and mine had 125,000 miles on it..

Fuel gauge


there is little else that causes this except the fuel guage sending unit in the gas tank.

Engine knocking on and off


inspect the harmonic balancer.
When the crank turns there is a rubber buffer between the pully and crank portions of the balancer that could have let go causing an engine knock like noise.
