My dash lights and tail lights are inop at times while driving

While driving at night,my dash lights and tail lights go off at night while
driving and come back on when they get ready I have the same problem...very frustrating. I find that I can make them come back on by turning the lights off and back on. I had the fuses checked...everything was good with those.

This could be an itermitent elecrical problem or the fan belt.
Have a look at the fan belt because is is widely know that fan belt failures causes electrics in the car to cut.

kind regards

try turning the headlight knob left to right several times, and jiggle the switch at night. Also check your fuse panel should be a 10 amp or less fuse that says "Insr" or something like it.

Tail lights, parking lights and dashboard lights on 2004 grand marquis are inoperative. Headlights, turn-signal lights, brake lights, hazard lights, back-up lights all work

Tail lights, parking lights and dash lights are all on the same circuit...I'd go to the fuse panel under the dash and check the fuse for those lights....usually referred to as accessory lighting in the owners manual and is usually a 10A fuse.

Hope this helps...

Look for a bad fuse. All the cars that I have owned had both the tail lights and dash lights on the same fuse.
