I need a website to help me replace a water pump on a 1997 chevrolet cavalier. I guess it would be a do it yourself type thing.

The best thing to help would be a 'Haynes repair manual', avialable at your local auto parts store. but replacing a water can be difficult if your not particularly mechanically inclined, because it often requires the removal of several other componets as well as flushing the cooling system

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Coolant is leaking from the bottom of my 1997 chevy cavalier? what could this be?

your going to have to isolate the location of the leak. if its coming from the water pump than your water pump is going out. also check around the radiator and make sure its not leaking around one of the hoses.

Replaced the water pump on 1997 chevy cavalier and now it runs like **** think it needs to be retimed

Yup, sounds like your on the right track to me. Don't run it this way for long, it could cause valve damage. Go to the local parts store and get the book and reset the timming.
