Question about 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Wife was driving her 2002 jeep cherokee, and it started making a tapping sound, so she stopped and had someone look at it, It was out of oil, replaced the oil, and now it continues to make tapping sound and the engine is misfiring. Took the valve cover off because that seems to be where it is coming from, but nothing looked out of order. The tapping noise goes along with the engine rpm's, the faster the rpm's the faster the tapping gets. what could this be?
Sounds like the lifters losed prime! here is a little trick that ive learned add a half off quirt off transmission fluid to the oil to prime the lifter
