Question about 2000 GMC Envoy
When entering and starting this vehicle, if the driver is not in the vehicle with the door shut, vehicle is immobilized when key is turned (Yellow Security light stays illuminated) I do not have a keyfob to arm or disarm this vehicle and have tried to disconnect the battery but have had no luck. Other vehicles that I have had this concern with I have turned the key in the drivers side key cylinder to lock then unlock and it disarms the system. When I do that, the light goes out, but still no start - The fuel pump is not making noise when key is turned. I believe the immobilizer system to be cutting power to fuel pump. How do I deactivate this system with no keyfob? Thanks

SOURCE: Key will not unlock door
the lock on the driver side could be damaged or some on might have used a jimmy to open that door before how evr you have to open the pannel and remove the lock cylinder part and make sure that the key is working or yo must change the tumbler s in the lock to fit your key (lock smith)

SOURCE: my immobilizer will not disarm
when you say "the immobilizer will not go off" that mean you can still drive the car or not, when the immobilizer goes on you can start the car but will not run, so what do you need a spear key for .you may need the valet key, is a gray key .

Absolutely no power? No dome light? No head lights? Nothing?
When you step on the brake pedal, no brake lights?
If true, start at the source and pop the hood.
This is going to be a bit of back and forth dialogue. I'll ask some questions and you get me the answers. That way we can get to the root of the problem. To save time, I'll ask multiple questions at a time. Here goes.
Does it turn over and start?
Does it do anything?
