Maint. req. light blinks 10 times after start up?

When a Honda Maint Req light blinks, but then stops, it is telling you to change your oil. If you don't change it, eventually, the maint req light will stay on. Here is how you reset the maint req light: 1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn they key back to the II position, while still holding the odometer button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.

If that doesn't work, try it this way: p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Verdana}

With the igniition off, press and hold the odometer button, turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the car. Keep the odometer button down until the oil light begins and ends flashing. Turn the key off, and then start car to see if it worked or not.

How do I reset my 2008 Honda Accord oil %

Honda Accord 1998-09 To reset MAINT REQ’D light, press and hold select/reset button on right side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on and hold until the light goes out.

On the right of your dash is a pair of buttons, one for selecting/changing the odometer and the other for cycling from MPH to KMH and back.
Turn the key on.
Push the select button until your display indicated the remaining oil life percentage. When it is displayed press and HOLD the select button until it begins to flash. Once it starts flashing release the button and press and hold it again. The display will clear and if you release the button and cycle through the display with the select button you will see oil life 100%. Good luck and this should reset the oil life.

Mant Req reset ligth

Hello, My name is JShreader. Thank You for choosing fixya.com.

There is 2 ways to do this on this year model...depending on the Month the vehicle was manufactured. 1 is using the Key Slot on the Cluster (on the earlier models). You can do this by inserting the ignition key into the slot located on the front of the instrument cluster lens. When reset, the indicator's colored tab will return to green.

The other way (on the later models) is to use the Reset Button on the Cluster. With the Ignition Switch 'OFF', press and hold the Reset Button. Now turn the Key to the 'ON' position (not starting) while continuing to hold the Reset Button. Hold the Reset Button down for more than 10 seconds. Your Maintenance Required Light should now go out.

I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader.

This is simple on the dash board in your cluster area, there is a rest button, like to one you use to rest trip mileage. Turn you ignition on to the for position, that without the light in the cluster are on eg the abs light and stuff like that. Push down on the reset button for 10 seconds. Still holding the rest button turn the ignition on to the 3rd position this where the abs lights and other come on in the cluster area. Hold for another 10 seconds. Then release the light should go out when vehicle is started. Good Luck
