Tbc dash light meaning for honda

Hello,
I don't know of a TBC light for Honda but there is a TDC... If that's what you meant to type. Its the "Top Dead Center" sensor

The TDC (top dead center) positioning sensor is another name for your crankshaft position sensor. This sensor measures the position of your crankshaft and helps with the proper firing of your spark plugs when you start your engine. The TDC sensor on the '97 Honda Accord is located on the underside of the engine block. Replacement TDC sensors can be purchased at your Honda dealership. This is not a difficult repair and can be done in about 15 minutes.

Shop says my 2002 Honda CR-V needs to have a camshaft position sensor replaced. Can you tell me where it's located and if I can replace it myself? I have some knowledge from working on my own vehicles. ...

The TDC sensor (aka camshaft position sensor) is located under the same cover as the timing belt. Incidently, the water pump is also driven by the timing belt. The process for replacement of the TDC is not difficult, just involved. Here is a link that I hope you will find helpful; It gives step-by-step instructions with photos on how to change the TDC. This is for a civic, but the setup for the CR-V is essentially the same. If you have high mileage, you will also want to check the condition of the timing belt and water pump while you have everything apart. If you decide to replace the other parts as well, you will need the associated gaskets, timing belt, water pump and belt tensioner. http://www.civicforums.com/forums/7-honda-civic-diys-civic-tech-chat/323984-diy-tdc-sensor-cmp-sensor-replacement-w-pics.html?8caa1db9f40a1e09f200d7c940d8cc64
If your computer will not let you click on the link directly, you can copy and paste it to your address bar.

Good luck and God Bless.

Renault scenic 1.6 16v. occasionally will not start

This could be a possibility of a bad connection to the engine speed sensor or in other terms flywheels sensor or TDC sensor located under the thermostat housing screwed to the gearbox by two bolts, when the problem occurs try playing around with the connector connected to the TDC sensor and then try to start it, renault has a new modified connector and TDC sensor on the market.
I hope this helps.

I have a hyundai sonata 2000 it is 2.0 16valve wont start

Firstly, what's a TDC sensor?.. the crank position sensor? If so, on the four (4) cylinder, it's located behind the timing belt cover at the crankshaft.. if it's the 2.5 V6, it's located behind the LH exhaust manifold on the engine block.
