You can change this bulb by gaining access throught the hatch back. I hope this helps you.

Open the hatch back or trunk put your head in and look back towards your knees on the side that the bulb is out. There should be a little door for access.

Brake Lamp light came on

This indicated that you have a brake lamp that isn't working correctly.
best way to find out which light it is, is to locate all brake lamps in the back of your car.
Have someone press on the brakes as you(or someone else) locates the brake light that doesn't turn on.
Additional information: 2001 honda odyssey brake light bulb code is 7440 can be found at autozone,NAPA,ect.

1995 honda odyssey - how do you remove the tail light lens cover to change the brake lights?

inside the rear cargo are are 2 pop out access flaps, remove them and peer inside. The Tail light guts are visible. Bolts to remove the entire assembly, or get some small hands to twist out the offending bulb sockets. Careful, body acces hoes have sharp edges.

There is a plastic stud in the rear that slides in a clip. It is on there tight. Pull hard straight out of the back and it will come out. Next twist the bulb off and replace it with a new bulb

How can i replace the bulb for the center brake light on my 2004 odyssey

The lense should unscrew from the outside , some bulbs are push and turn and some are wedge base which just pull out.
push and turn bulbs have a metal base but the wedge base are all glass.
I changed a high stop bulb on a 2001 odyssey in this manner.

Changing brake light for 2000 Honda Odyssey

I believe that light is accessed through the inside of the trunk.Remove the carpet from the back of the light housing & you will most likely find a bunch of plastic wing nuts that hold the taillight assembly on,remove them & push the housing out carefully, then the light bulb just twists out.

2003 Honda Odyssey Brake light replacement

open the rear hatch. Between the tail light housing and the rear hatch opening there is a trim strip with two flush fitted flap doors. Insert a small straight blade screwdriver into the small slot on the tail light side of the flap. Pry gently inboard and the small flap will open (the hinge side of the flap is on the side of the rear hatch opening.) Now you can remove the screws that hold the tail lamp assembly in place. Finally, there is still a "spear point" clip that fits into a socket near the front outboard corner of the assembly. Gently pry with a tape wrapped screwdriver (avoids scratches) and force the assembly straight back. The clip should release and free the assembly so you can change the bulb(s).
