When I start my 1999 GMC JIMMY sometimes it starts right up. Sometimes its as if it does not get enough fuel then it starts. I have been told it could be the fuel pump or the fuel injection regulator. Which could it be?

I been having fuel injection troubles myself and seems to me your problem may be your fuel injection pressure regulator, before starting when you turn the key so your dash lights show up and at that same time you should also hear your fuel pump motor spinning which means that its working and sending fuel through so you may have a fault with your regulator,,hope that helps, goodluck.

I have 2000 gmc jimmy it wont start sometimes it has me clueless

It could be the ECU,but I am gonna put my money on the fuel pump and say its a fuel issue. Have you changed the fuel filter? the most common problem with GMC's is the air flow mass meter. Spray it with some air flow mass meter cleaner and see if that helps.

1999 JIMMY START 4 JUST A FEW SECONDS AND DIES OUT...BUT SOMETIMES IT DOES START WHATS UP

Could be several things. A relay, faulty fuel pump or pump relay, faulty ignition module or distributor, and so on.
You'll need to figure out if you are loosing spark or fuel to narrow down the choices.
If the check engine light is on you should have the computer scanned for trouble codes.

I have a 1999 GMC Sierra. wont start. Turns over tries to start but wont stay running. The fuel pressure is fin and all fuses are good.

Technically if you have spark and enough fuel pressure it should run.
What is the fuel pressure at the rail ?
Have you checked the cap and rotor ?

It won't start, initially, unless sprayed with starting fluid. Sometimes, after it has run, and been turned off, it will restart; but not always.

Check the fuel pressure. Could be the fuel pump is getting weak and not enough pressure to fire the injectors.

I have a 99 gmc jimmy that doesnt like to start when the engine is any suggestions cold...sometimes It will crank but cuts right off.. it takes about 10 minutes to get it to start running. i have changed...

Could be a slow IAC motor when cold.Try holding your foot down 1/4 of an inch when cold starting,if it starts quickly, then it is most likely is a gummed up/defective idle air control motor.I would like to see the engine coolant temperature sensor readings also.

2000 GMC Jimmy will not start

The oil presure switch does have some bearing on the problem but my suggestion is to change the coil. I had a the same problem with an astro van. I changed everything that you have described and it fixed the problem just for a little while and then all of a sudden did it again. I changed the coild and the cold start swithch and never had the problem again.
