This sounds like a broken wire inside the corrugated tubing for the boot/trunk loom located by the right hand hinge on the lid

Can you open a Saab 93 sportswagon boot from the inside

For safety reasons most trunks/boots open from the inside. Check your manual. If no manual. Email manufacturer.

The rear hatch on my 2006 buick rendevous wont open with the button on the door but it will open with the remote button on the key fob

Visit an on-line parts supplier and purchase a new switch/touchpad for inside of the rear handle. Local parts supplier probably won't have it. You can replace it yourself. I did when I owned one of these part pits.

Have you tried your spare remote, it may just be the remote button is defective. If no then the electric latch motor is defective or some how jammed

Mercedes c class 2001 elegance, key fob not working everytime its pressed. I have had the batteries checked and they are still working fine, any advice as to what is causing this?

Most likely needs to be re matched to the car.

Two bits of info off the net for you

and

1. Place key in ignition lock and turn to position 2 [all ignition lights on]
2: Turn key to off position and remove from ignition.
3. Within 10 seconds:
3a: press the Close [Lock] button and hold it down
3b: while the Close button is still depressed simultaneously press the Open [Unlock] button. Press and release the Open button 5 times [still holding the Close button down]
3c: Release both the Close and the Open buttons at the same time, and immediately push any of the two Open buttons once [i.e. either the Open doors or the Open Tailgate]

This information is for the resetting of a previously synchronised key to match the security system after batteries have been removed or replaced. This information does not work with new keys which it seems must be taken to a person with a key synchronisation device [or a super-ripoff-expensive MB dealer]

hope this helps

Boot on passat estate wont open with key or remote

The opening of the boot by key or remote is done via an electric motor, you may have a faulty motor or you may have water ingress through the boot handle which has corroded the terminals, this is quite common.

Peugeot 407 boot wont open

We had a similar problem with a 2008 right hand drive 407;ST HDI Touring. Suddenly the remote would not lock the doors and whenever you drove over 20kph then back under it would keep trying to lock itself. Anyhow after a thorough reading of the manual we discovered that the car will only lock if all the doors are closed properly. What we didn't realise is that the glass panel in the boot lid will also open outward like a flap, to allow smaller parcels to be placed in the boot without having to open the larger boot lid. We owned a Mercedes 300TE which didn't have this feature so didn't think to look for it. This was not closed properly. The handle/release must have been knocked when washing the car. Anyhow, once it was firmly shut everything went back to normal. Good as new.
