Why do I have problems with the electrical dim headlights, no tail lights. The turn signals & brake lights work but the instrument panel won't light. Have checked all fuses & ground wires. Wha

With out tracing the wiring/voltages its not possible to be sure, but the likely cause is the headlight switch ... assuming you didn't miss any fuses/circuit breakers. Turn signals and brake lights are on an entirely different circuit; so thats not really relevant. The panel, tail, and head lights are all operated thru the same switch (though likely different contacts in that switch), so to be sure you should verify power into the switch vs no power out before replacing it. Hope that helps.

How can I repair the electrical problem on my truck?

Headlight ground is a common problem. Also, check that the battery ground is sound, if battery ground goes to engine, check that engine strap to frame is also sound.

1993 chevy silverado parking lamps go of when i turn on headlights, signal lights flicker when i press on brake.

Yes I would look for a ground circuit problem. I would look at the ground wires for the headlights first. Even run a new ground wire for the tail lights to see if it helps.
Could be a ground connection for the body to frame or body to battery.

My 1989 gmc sierra truck tail lights do not work. bulbs have been replaced, tester shows that it is getting an electrical connection to the battery. The brake lights and headlights work fine. Turn signals...

I had a similar problem with mine. Turned out to be a bad ground connection in the tail ight assembly. There are steel tabs that spring out and contact the steel stamped out frame in the plastic around the bulb sockets. They were making a bad or no connection and were rusted. Bad design :( Anyway I used a very small wire wheel and removed the corrosion and soldered the connections. No more problems!

Tail light doesnt turn on with headlights but works fine as a break light and turn signal, why?

in the rear lights you may have two bulbs one is the turn signal the other one is stop light / tail light the stop light / tail light has two filaments, one for the stop light (21 watt) & one for the tail light (5 watt) it is possible that the tail light filament is blown, try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the problem, also check all the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

Clean the top post of the battery. Check for deform shape on the battery. A battery with incorrect acid / water mix will expand.
Check the voltage at the source.
With engine off it should read 12.6V + 12.6V is min 12.7 and over is healthy.
With the engine running it should read 13.6V + 13.6 is min.
==== Test idle air control valve
Warm up the truck and take a baseline reading on the RPM
Turn on the following item one by on and monitor the rpm. It should rise by 100 to 150 rpm.
A/C,rear defroster and fans radio low beams high beams
The rpm must rise to meet the electrical demand.
Clean and lube the IAC valve at the end of the throttle linage (in the intake manifold)
===== Please do the inspects and let me know the readings via email.

I will follow up the case in the afternoon.
