Just recently I had the fuel pump and alternator on my 2000 Chevy silverado replaced because they went bad. While driving home, I realized my turn signals were signaling fast and called the person following me and realized that the rear lower brake lights, rear turn indicators, and reverse lights on both sides weren't working it were before. Had to go to work but called the mechanic and he said to check the fuses and if they were all good, then he would take a look at it but he couldn't until Monday. It's Friday. Is there anything it could be because I don't feel comfortable driving my truck if none of these lights are working.

the problen is probably the turn signal switch with a test light check for power at brake switch if no power check for power at turn signal switch the brake lights are incorperated through the turn signal switch

I just had the same problem on my '04 Silverado. All it was was corrosion in the socket/bulb. Put some dialectic grease on both the bulbs and worked them in and out a couple of times and now they work fine. Was weird that they both went out suddenly and together but I guess they are made exactly the same.

sounds like a broken wire in the harness. look around the bumper area, sometimes along the frame. may have to peel back some tape covering. also if you have a trailer harness look closely at those.

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!
