1995 jeep cherokee 4.0 2wd country overvoltage

I have a overvoltage problem. At idle I am getting 16.0 to 16.5 charge to the electrical system. Using a drb the pcm is sensing 13.0 volts. Is this a pcm replacement?

I changed out battery. still same problem. Checked lead from Alt to battery, good. Checked lead 3 and 9 to pcm. B+ lead 3 reads battery voltage with car off, 16.5v charging with car on. Switched ignition lead 9 same thing. Do you know what lead the pcm gets its voltage sense for the voltage regulator?

Voltage regulator could be bad but i think its your battery draining or putting a strain on the atl then the v regulator will try to regulate
its job by upping the juce

1995 grand jeep cherokee won't take freon why

You do know the compressor must be running to allow the system to be charged, right ?
If the system is low you have to jumper the low pressure switch or otherwise provide power to the compressor to put new cans of freon in.
And it will only go in on the low side of the system, which should be the only side you can connect the hose to.

My 97 Jeep Cherokee Country 4 cylinder is overheating after about 8-10 minutes of being on. It is not leaking coolant. Is this the thermostat? Is it the sensor? Is it the water pump? Engine does...

The problem that you discribe Is a fault thermostat. Also with high mileage on engine , you will have alot of piston slap noise that's common.
