There is usually a dimmer switch for the dash lights near the left side of the dash behind the steering wheel. Sometimes that can get bumped when you get in the car and turn the dash lights completely off.
Hey Heather, you may need a new light switch. the dash lights are on a dimmer that also will turn on your dome light. If all your fuses are good I think that your switch has failed. They also (switch) come unplugged sometimes if you drive on rough roads. Sorry, but that's the best I can do for you.
Dash lights can have a dimmer control, sometimes built into the headlight switch. Any dimmer needs to be moved high to low and back to keep the connection good. If the lights flicker when the dimmer switch is moved, you may have to change the switch.
Did you change your dimmer switch? When my rear lights and dash lights stopped working the fuse was blown, but the transistor inside the dimmer switch (just left of your steering wheel) was blown also. (had my dad check it with the multimeter). You'll need a narrow flat head screw driver to pry it out, start at the bottom, that's where the metal clip that holds it in is. Cost me $5 at the junk yard.
Hope this solves your problem, annoying isn't it to not be able to drive at night.
