My emergency flashers and turn signals work for my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The turn signals were just replaced, but the brake lights are not working, and I need to replace one of the bulbs for the back lights. I have the parts, but do not have an Owner's Manual. Can you help me?

I just bought this jeep and it seems the break lights and the tail lights don't work. We have checked the fuses under the hood and on the passager side dash. Any suggestions?

Replace multi-function switch 2005 mariner

The tail light is usually a bulb with lower wattage, so it won't glow as brightly as the brake and turn lights.. There should be one or two other bulbs in either of the two tail assy's. The turn signal can use the same bulb as the brake light. If so, it's up to the flasher assy to direct the lights to both come on, and/or for one to flash if the brake and turn signal is on, e.g.. There could also be a backup light.

So if the brake and turn lights don't operate, look to the fuses, and flasher assy. for possible replacement.

Dashboard lights and rear exterior running lights not working. blinkers, flashers, and brake lights work. regular tail lights won't work. Not finding a blown fuse. not finding any fuse listed as "tail...

the fuse is labled 'brake'

I would replace the fuse... and then have someone stand to the rear of the vehicle and watch the lights come on as I applied the brake... if the fuse blows again... note which tail light did NOT come on durring this test and replace the bulb.. it is grounding to itself and causing the short.

1989 chevy 1/2 ton.brake lights or emergency flashers dont work.tail lights an blinkers work.

The Blinkers and the Brake Lights are the same bulb. So check the brake light switch. Flashers use a different flasher unit, than the turn signals
