I just bought a 1982 ford F350 with dual tanks. I can't find out how to switch tanks from one to the other. It looks like it came from the factory with both tanks?

From what i understand the fuel pump is up with the engine, there is an electric valve that switches from tank to tank, the switch is on the dash its a chrome lever with the label front/ back

Is there a fuel filter for each tank on a 1997 F350 crew cab 4x4 with a 460

There should be one filter per tank. If there is start with changing the fuel filter in the front tank and if you are still having problems then your front fuel pump seems like it may be going out.

Can anyone tell me what color wire goes to what port on a rear fuel pump plugfor a ford f350 1993

On most 92-94 models you have a red and yellow wire coming from the inertia switch to the tank select switch if you have dual tanks, then a red wire to one pump and a brown and white to the other pump. Both pumps use orange or black for ground.

Location of fuel pump on 1988 Ford F350 460 engine

there could be 2. one is in the tank, this one is there for sure. the other is in the frame rail ahead of the switching valve,if you have 2 tanks.Otherwise look for a cylinder with fuel lines and 2 wires.the fittings on inline fuel pump might take a special tool, they will look like a bell.that tool can be bought at parts store, should be under $15.

94 f350 diesel pickup dual tanks the fuel gauge is clear past full all the time even if you switch tanks

I'd look for a bad or broken ground somewhere, either feeding both tanks, or the gauge itself, but start at the sending units and see if there is a common ground wire coming forward & joining into one.
