2004 Pontiac Bonneville SLE How do I turn off the E-brake Chime?

disconnect a wire to the chime
cables that no longer in production can be made in a reputable brake shop from the sample
there are cable makers in industry that make cables to samples so find a cable /chain retailer and take the sample to them
it seems strange that a 3 year old car does not have spares still available so I would be checking around spares departments or brake repairs shop as well

How do i remove the dashboard of my 02 bonneville?

Most all instrument panels are easily removed. there should be 2 or 3 Phillips or 7mm screws holding a dress ring in place remove tilt wheel down,(sometimes you must turn key and WITH FOOT ON BRAKE OR PARKING BRAKE SET,shift gear selector to "1" to get it out of the way) remove dress ring. then there will be 4- 7mm screws holding panel in place, remove those, pull panel out a little ways and unplug electrical plug-in, you can unhook positive battery cable if you want but is not necessary, then remove instrument panel. reverse sets to install new panel. please rate my answericon1.png, thank :-)

The warning chimes will not come on when i turn on the ignition

You can check to see if any fuses are bad, if they all appear to be good, you can test the power going into the chime itself while turning the ignition on, if you have power...the chime itself is at fault.

How to reset the brake lamp warning indicator and chime

The light will go off as soon as the light or the circuit to the light is repaired, if it is still on and the brake lights work correctly, meaning bright normal not dim looking then the monitor for the lamp out warning is defective, they are very pricey would take the bulbs out if i where you.

Have you looked under the dash at the pedal arm to make sure that no wires are rubbing or jammed up ?Also look to the small switch on the brake pedal, two wires and make sure the brake circuit doesnt have a short circuit.Disconnect a wire off the small pedal brake switch and see if the dash still goes haywire.Your just isolating the brake circuit to eliminate it as a cause for the dash. Also make sure that no earth wires were left off when starter etc was replaced.Good luck
