Question about 1994 Audi V8
I need to know the location of the starter. My battery isn't dead... but my starter won't turn over (as if the battery was dead). I need to make sure all the wires are connected to the starter.. but first I need to know where the starter is.. any ideas??

If the problem is off and on -indeed it is most likely your transmission control module...I have found it handy to have a v8 parts car @ the ready for these type of quick checks.
However if it is a permanent problem it might be something that can be reset by an audi mechanic who has the reset computer box.....only takes a minute.

I would check the low beam fuses. Also maybe a bad dimmer switch. Check to see if you have power at the low beam headlight plug.

The thermostat is located in front of the engine, between V cylinder banks, for Audi A8 V8 4.2 Quattro Automatic. See pictures below:
Remove the thermostat housing (2 bolts) and the old thermostat. Note the orientation of the old thermostat (vent valve facing UP). Clean both thermostat housing and block surfaces and remove all traces of old gasket material. Install the new thermostat vent valve facing UP.
Please do rate my response. Thanks!
