I own a ssanyong actyon sports pickup, one day the twin curly yellow light turn on, when I send to the mechanic, he diagnose and found out one of the low plug was malfunction, so he change that,but the engine not able to start, diagnose again and found the fuel pump in the tank is not pumping the diesel , change the pump, but engine still not able to get power. diagnose then found one of the relay is not working.so change the relay. Yet when turn on keys, all the diagnose light run through without blinking but engine just would not turn on. need help and advice urgently

firstly where is fuel pump relay as i have never seen a GMC jimmy sorry about that but have you ever seen a foden ?? well the first thing is to check the fuse,if fuse is ok which can be checked by looking at it as its transparent or a piece of wire with a light bulb .across the battery.to find the relay is easy if you dont know where it is,When this piece of americana decides to work just turn ignition on and listen for the click of relay ,then when it doesnt start listen for click again or rather an absence of a click,sounds more like a dodgy pump in the tank or the connections going to it.when it wont start try thumping the fuel tank with the ignition on and if it is a sticky pump you might hear it start then at least you will know where the fault is.Another fault that i have come across with relays is that where the relay is passing a heavy load then its possibe for the contacts to burn inside the relay.When this happens then if it is possible to seperate the relay cover and clean the contacts with a points file (remember them ) or a piece of fine emery paper if the cover breaks taking it apart then use a bit of black insulating tape to repair the cover.Thats assuming the pump is in the tank and not bolted to the chassis near the fuel tank but that design with external pump i havent seen on a europeon car for nearly 20yrs .

Hi You need to get the ecu checked for fault codes if there are none it is possibly low fuel pressure you should allso check this have you changed the fuel filter or opened any fuel lines this could introduce air
which will lower fuel pressure.Good luck Chris.

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

why did you replace the fuel pump if the car was running ok?check if you did not mix up the fuel lines where they connect to the pump.

you have a shut off button in the trunk find it turn it off and turn it back on
