I just bought a 1997 Acura CL when I turn on the radio it display"s error how can I fix this problem?
Hi, I need a code for my 97 Acura 3.0 cl, i have the serial number and model number Pls, what should i do?

Take it to any chevrelot dealer ship and they can maintain the code for you and get it running. usually u have to push preset buttons 2 and 3 at the same time and hold it for 6 sec three numbers will pop up then hit the am/fm button and the other numbers will pop up take all of them numbers to a chevy dealer and they can contact gm and get the code for your vehicle. if that don't work just take it to the dealer and nthey will do it.

If the person before it had another stereo in the car or tok off the positive terminal without backup power to the ground and positive, and then they either put back the original radio or forgot about the anti theft system in radios now it can give you error, GM says to enter the unlock code "LOCKED" EVEN IF YOU know the number the radio has to be restored by the dealer, they have the code for your car to unlock the radio, the car dealer would need to take a look at the radio and will not tell you the master key code, as if they do that you can pass on the info and others can use it for illegal purposes.
