Question about Chevrolet El Camino
Check your throttle valve cable is your first step.Disconnect it and make sure that when you pull it it returns smoothly.Then you can reset the adjustment,Push in the tab on the cable where it attaches to the linkage and push the cable back towards the trans.Then step on the gas pedal to full throttle that will set the cable where it needs to be.If that doesn't help it is more than likely an internal trans problem.
