Pressure switch is usually located near the oil filter and generally has two wires on it. Best way to check it is by putting a manual oil pressure gauge in it's place and reading actual oil pressure. If your symptoms are no oil pressure reading or abnormal readings, with no tapping noises (or worse) from engine then it likely is the switch. Most require a special socket to remove but the sending units are not terribly expensive.

The jet pump on the fuel pump on a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird continues to blow the hose off of the jet pump. Any idea's why? Do you need the jet pump or can it be capped off somehow?

Yes you need the jet pump, it is actually a smog pump for emissions that will throw a mil if capped off. Try checking for a clog at the other end of the hose because that built up pressure will cause it to blow. Pressure has to go somewhere.......

I have a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird that will not start

Needs to have at least 3o lbs of fuel pressure, may need to rent
a gauge from your local parts house.
Plus make sure all the ground wires are attached (bell housing
bolt is where the ECM ground is,I think)

No spark at the plugs replaced ignition pack but no results thisis a 1992 pontiac sunbird 2.0l se

electric ignition module is bad, or maybe the safety shutdown relay, also check to see if the timing belt has snapped, it happened to me, lol replaced plugs, wires, coil, ignition module, and turned out to be the timing belt had snapped causing the safety shutdown relay to shut off power to the coil and fuel pump, good luck :)

Tire pressure

Hey --- Your tire pressure isn't based on the car type... On the side rim of the tire there will be a PSI rating to tell you how much air to put in (Max level only)
