Headlight switch When I was turning on my headlights the switch came off. The piece that it goes to is loose & go back in the hole. I can reach it & pull out with pliers. Is there a way I can fix it without taking it into a dealer? Thanks for your help & time. Chad

How do I replace a headlamp on a 1987 integra

First raise the headlights with the switch on the side of the steering wheel .
Then you should see and remove the 3 screws holding the headlight bezel on. The bottom screw can be reached through a hole in the grill.
Then remove the screws holding the headlight on, Careful not to turn the headlight alignment screws.
Pull out the headlight just enough to remove the connector plug.
Replace is the same in reverse.
Hope this helps.

Headlight switch turns on parking lights but not headlights. Have to hold high beam switch on to have headlights at night.

Replace light switch assembly. Remenber some switches pull up to flash headlights and press down to change from low to high--press down again goes from high to low.

1995mbz cl200 headlights wont turn on why?

Does the switch seem tight? If it feels loose, it is the switch. Easy replace solution. Remove the Tweeter cover on the driver's side gently. Remove the two screws that hold the A/C vent and pull out. Pull off the switch nob and remove the nut on the switch. Reach inside and turn the switch towards the door and it will come loose. Plug in the new switch and reinstall in the reverse order.

There also may be a bad headlight relay.

Where is brake fluid level indicator on 1988 Bronco II?

The indicator light is in the dash in between the gauges where the other indicator lights are you probally have a bad bulb. you would need to take the dash panel off to acsess this. it has 4 screws on the top of the gauges underneath the piece of the dash that goes across the front. there are 4 screws on the bottom to acsess these screws you have to take off the strip that goes just above the metal part on the bottom of the dash. this strip has the turn signal switch in it , also has the cig lighte, ash tray and goes all the way across to the end of the dash. it just pulls off, the other side where the headlight switch is pull out headlight switch and you will be able to get to screw by turning it when you pop it loose, gently pull on the top of the panel to get it loose, after you get it off you will see the bulbs..

How do you replace the front turn signal on a 2005 Buick Terraza?

Changing front, right turn signal on 2005 Buick Terraza: Open hood; when facing the front of vehicle, the right turn signal is on the passenger side (left). The headlight assembly needs to be removed to easily reach the turn signal. On my vehicle, there is a 10 mm screw on the left side. Remove it. There is L-shaped pin on the right side of the headlight assembly. Swing the pin counter-clockwise (to the left). Pull the pin straight up to remove. The headlight assembly is now loose, but there is a pin snapped in a socket on the back of the assembly that still holds the assembly. Pull the headlight assembly hard and straight to the front of the vehicle. When it snaps loose, the assembly is now held just by the rubber gasket surrounding the assembly. You need to gently work the right side of the gasket out of the grill cowling. The assembly should pull straight out. The wires are long enough to lay the headlight assembly in the engine compartment. Finally, the turn signal is now accessible. Twist the light holder counter-clockwise and pull out the light holder. Change the bulb. Do not punch your man-card for credit until you have successfully reinstalled the headlight assembly. It goes back in a little easier the second time. Once you have put the L-pin in place, the screw back, and successfully tested the lights, you can now punch your man-card.

I give the mechanical engineers and designers a D-minus instead of an F only because I was successful on the first try. No light bulb on anything commonly used by people should be this hard to figure out.

How to install headlamp on a 2002 chevy trailblazer

To change a headlight bulb in the 2002 Trailblazer: I writing this with the orientation of standing in front of and facing the Trailblazer.
Open the hood.
Remove the plastic cover that goes from the left to right over the headlight bracket, radiator, etc. It has 4 plastic pop retainers and 2 sheet metal screws. Remove the grill center bar that passes in front of both headlights. The grill and center bar come off as one piece. Start at one end and carefully pry it out, a little at a time. There are 2 clips at the headlight and 2 clips near the center top of the grill and 2 at the bottom. Two more in the other headlight.
Each headlight has 2 black metal clips that hold the assembly onto the bracket. One is above and behind headlight assembly, towards the right end if you're working on the left headlight (and visa-versa), and the other is under the fender (it pulls up OK, but may take some patience to push it back down when you're done).
Pull the entire headlight assembly forward. I only moved mine an inch or two. On the back of the assembly are round rubber covers. Pull off the one covering the back end of the bulb that needs changing. reach in and turn to bulb clockwise 1/4 turn and it will slip out.
Unhook the connector from the bulb. It has a little catch on it, otherwise it just pulls out.
Connect the new bulb.
Reassemble everything in reverse order.
As I said, the under fender clip that holds the headlight assembly on to the bracket may take some patience. It seemed to slip down OK once I had it in exactly the right position. Either that I needed to reach the required amount of cussing.
Good Luck...

My front left light is out how do i replace it.

Open your hood, reach down behind headlight. You will see a plastic black ring, turn counter-clockwise and remove it. Then turn and pull back headlight and socket. The wireharness is clipped to headlight, use small flat-head screws driver and lightly apply pressure on clip, pull back and your good to go. New bulb clips right in, put socket in hole, turn in place, put ring back on, and turn in place. and your done.

I picked up the headlight switch from Auto Zone for $16.99... AND I believe that the sound you're hearing isn't coming form your engine but its coming from the headlight switch... Dont quote me on it but I am sure thats where its coming from... Due losing and gaining connection...
