If the relay is bad, pull out the old one and put the new one in. You can test power to the relay and to the fan as well. If no power to the relay, then the fuse or temp sensor could be bad.

2009 chevy hhr speakers don't work and a/c radiator fan won't come on

What engine does it have ?

Cooling Fan Control 2.0L
The engine cooling fan is a variable speed fan. The engine control module (ECM) controls the fan speed by sending a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal to the cooling fan control module. The cooling fan control module varies the voltage drop across the engine cooling fan motor in relation to the PWM signal. The cooling fan speed can be adjusted from 10 percent to 94 percent duty cycle. 94 percent is considered high speed fan.
Cooling Fan Control 2.2L or 2.4L
The engine cooling fan system consists of one cooling fan and one relay. Voltage is supplied to the relay through a fuse. The engine control module (ECM) controls the fan operation by grounding the cool fan relay control circuit. When the cool fan relay is energized, voltage is delivered to the cooling fan motor. The cooling fan motor is grounded through its own ground circuit.
When the request for fan activation is withdrawn, the fan may not turn OFF until the ignition switch is moved to the OFF position or the vehicle speed exceeds approximately 10 mph. This is to prevent the fan from cycling ON and OFF excessively at idle.

Just one speaker doesn't work ? Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? That's how to find both your problems . Speakes work by electrical inpluse's . The A/C radiator ( condenser ) fan also works by B+ voltage through a fuse an a relay , controlled by the engine electronic control module or PCM - powertrain control module . When you push the A/C turn on button , it sends a signal to the PCM . The PCM will then energize the radiator fan relay turning on the fan . Check fuse in the under hood fuse box , If the fuse is blown you have a electrical short , too much current flow . Plus if the PCM sees too much pressure in the A/C system it will not let the A/C work .

What causes both cooling fans to not run?

Hi Naomi , there is a lot involved in the control of the cooling fans on your vehicle ! There are three fuse's , three relays an a fan control unit !
1. radiator fan main relay , located in underhood relay box A
2.condenser fan relay , located in underhood relay box A
3.radiator fan relay , located in underhood relay box C
4.Cooling fan fuse # 47 20amp. underhood fuse / relay box
5.condenser fan fuse # 50 20amp in underhood fuse / relay box.
Any one of these could cause them to not work, rather then just replacing parts an wasting money you should take it to the repair shop !

My daewoo 2000 lanos is overheating and the cooling fan is not coming on

Check your fuses and relays. Most likely you have a blown fuse or bad relay.

Daewoo lanos year 2000 se electric rad fan has stopped working.

Find auto the temperature sensor , disconect the two wires and make a "jumper" between them, use a wire equal or with larger "diameter" (section) as the sensor wires itself. Turn the engine on. If you have already checked fuse and relay and you 100% sure they're ok the fan must start spinning...be carefull with the fan blades. If not, you may disconnect the fan wires and supply energy straight from the battery. Be carefull again some sparks may come out and try not to short circuit the wires that may create another electrical/electronic problem, okay? Hope this can help...vmossmann from Brazil

Daewoo nubira 2000

???? by heat do you mean heater? if so then you could check for radiators getting warm on shortish runs, if this is alright and you radiator is getting hot then maybe your linkage has come off the back of your switch as did mine on the daewoo lanos 02. very poor build quality i put it down to. rarely a fuse probem? also if you have had any work done on your radiator recentley then check that the matrix hasnt just been bypassed. this can be just about seen at the back of the engine compartment at the very bottom near exhaust. it will be two smallish pipes which come from the engine running into the main of you r bulkhead and into your cab. if there are two going through bulkhead than all is fine if not they usually put a ushaped tube and connect the two together in order to bypass system and disabling heater.
